Herbal Medicine use also includes helping to relieve inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis in adults. A factor in the maintenance of good health, licorice helps to form red blood cells and supports their proper function. This hard-working herb also supports connective tissue formation and helps maintain healthy skin, metabolize carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, and supports immune function.
